The guitar is an orchestra.
It contains multitudes - genre, style, chords, bass lines, melodies, tones. I’ve devoted my life to understanding each of these as thoroughly as possible, knowing there is simply too much and too little time to master every element. The joy is in the journey of finding out how far I can take it.

Kyle has performed in pit orchestras at venues throughout the Twin Cities, including the Guthrie Theater, Old Log Theatre, Chanhassen Dinner Theatres, the History Theatre, and the Jungle Theatre. His musical direction credits include a production of "Once" at Theatre L'Homme Dieu, where he was able to focus on his roots music foundation, the relationship between performer and instrument, and bring a distinctive voice to the show's iconic folk-rock score.
Drawing from his extensive performing and academic background, Kyle has maintained a private teaching practice for over a decade. His approach centers around connecting the student, in mind and body, to the instrument and the music that inspires them.
Kyle’s work continually strives to blend genres, explore new instrumentations, and push boundaries on collaboration.
