Kyle is an experienced guitarist and educator offering individualized instruction for adult learners at all stages of their musical journey. With a Master of Music in Guitar Performance and over a decade of and private teaching experience, his approach blends technical skill-building with creative exploration.

Lesson rates:

1 hour: $100

45 minutes: $75

New Students

Schedule a 60 minute introductory lesson. You’ll be prompted with a Musician Profile Form to help Kyle get to know you and your musicianship.

Returning Students

Schedule your lessons one at a time or all at a time. Up to you. Lesson payment will be collected when you schedule.

  • While guitar is his primary instrument, Kyle also works with students interested in broadening their musical perspective. Whether that means experimenting with new instruments, returning to the basics, or developing a more holistic understanding of musicianship. Lessons are designed to be collaborative, engaging, and responsive to each student’s evolving interests.

  • Kyle draws from a background in jazz, bluegrass, folk, and rock—but lessons are shaped around your interests. If there’s a genre you love, it can be part of your learning.

  • Kyle works primarily with adult students, but high schoolers are welcome as well. Students under 18 will need a parent or guardian’s contact information.

    • A high-quality, well-set-up guitar (we can chat about options if you're unsure!)

    • An amplifier (if you’re studying electric guitar)

    • A dedicated practice space—nothing fancy, just accessible

    • Tools like a tuner, metronome, music stand, recording device, and note-taking system (physical or digital)

    • A way to easily listen to music (phone, Bluetooth speaker, headphones, etc.)

  • If you cancel with less than 24 hours' notice, you’ll be charged for the lesson. Kyle is happy to reschedule if it works for both of you, but this policy helps respect both of your time.

    A no-call/no-show will be charged the full lesson fee. You’re welcome to reschedule if you’re still interested in continuing.

  • Possibly! Kyle is exploring options for collaborative learning, depending on student interest. Feel free to express your interest on the intake form.
